Frequently Asked Questions

  • You will need a small backpack, yoga strap, or yoga bag to tote your yoga mat and a few essentials such as sunscreen, snacks, and water bottle. Reusable containers are highly encouraged (no single-use plastic, please). A beach towel to spread out on the ground and create a little cushion underneath your mat is also recommended but optional.

  • YogaHikes typically last 2 hours and may vary depending on the location, conditions, and how often we stop to admire the view, flora, or wildlife. YogaHikes begin with a 25-30 minute hike to an open meadow or flat area where we practice yoga for about 75 minutes before hiking back to the trailhead/parking area.

  • While trail terrain will vary depending on location, most trails are considered easy to easy-moderate in difficulty. You can find more details in the class descriptions.

  • If the idea of combining yoga and hiking sounds fun, then you are experienced enough to join a YogaHike. Yoga and hiking enthusiasts of all ages and abilities are welcome, however, keep in mind you will need to be able to traverse uneven terrain and maintain a reasonable pace with the group.

  • Awesome question—we love dogs! Unfortunately, most trails we hike are not dog friendly. However, when we do schedule a dog-friendly YogaHike you can bet we’ll be barking it from the rooftop.

  • Yes, we would love to host your private group at one of our beautiful YogaHike locations in Sonoma County.
